Cricket Show 252 Competition Winner

This week’s winner of the Cricket Show podcast question competition is Raghav. He wins a free coaching course from PitchVision Academy.

The winning question was:

“I have a question about throwing technique, while throwing should your front foot be little bit turned towards fine leg or should it be pointing straight towards the target ? Our coach tells us to point it straight whereas I saw some professional players recently pointing their foot slightly towards fine leg. Which one should I follow so as to generate maximum power in my throws ? Also should I land on my heels or on toes?”

Listen to the panels answer to his question here.

I have known, worked with and admired Graeme Smith for many years. Over the years he taught me some valuable coaching lessons.

I first met "Biff" when he was a 18 year old lad straight out of school. He played some club cricket in the UK and was in my Hampshire Board XI for a few games. I was impressed with his maturity and sense of fun; less impressed with his "grubby" technique.
