Essex County Cricket Club was established in 1876 and is responsible for the delivery of professional cricket in the County. Working closely with the Essex County Cricket Board and the newly formed Essex Cricket and Community Trust, the family of “Essex Cricket” embraces all aspects of the game through recreational cricket, entry into our professional Academy and First Class Cricket. 

The Club is currently recruiting for the role of Cricket Operations Administrator. This challenging role will embrace all aspects of administration for our professional cricket programme. This includes supporting the coaching, medical and professional cricket staff, as well as a having a significant involvement in match day delivery and ensuring the smooth running of all cricket related administration. 
 
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Cricket Operations and have experience as an administrator. The successful candidate will be comfortable undertaking a range of duties including minute taking and multi-tasking on a number of projects and activities. The role also includes supporting a number of key seasonal staff, therefore experience of working in a team is very important.

The salary for this role will be £16,000 to £18,000 per annum based on experience. The closing date for applications is Monday 10th February 2014, with interviews to be held on Thursday 20th February. 
 
Essential requirements: 
  • Grades A-C GCSE in English and Maths 
  • Experience in administration 
  • Team worker
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages 
  • Good time management

  • Professional and friendly demeanor 
  • Good organisational skills 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Ability to multi-task
