CRICKET JOBS: Director of Cricket Coaching - Sherborne School (UK)

Filed in:

Closing date: 19th October 2015

Sherborne School is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Cricket Coaching to promote and deliver high standards of coaching within the School.  The successful post holder will also establish and promote links outside the School to allow pupils to extend their experience and develop their skills, both while still at the School and once they have left the School including creating good working relationships with County Cricket Clubs and Universities.

Cricket is the major summer sport at Sherborne and although matches take place during the Trinity term there are opportunities for all boys to develop their batting, bowling or fielding skills throughout the course of the whole year.  We have up to sixteen cricket teams across all age groups and ability levels. The fixture list is very competitive and we play some of the best schools in the country including Millfield, Marlborough, Canford, Cheltenham and Clifton College.

In 2015 our U15 side reached the divisional final of the national Twenty20 competition and, for the first time in Sherborne’s history, they also reached the national final of the prestigious, two-year long ECB/ESCA Schools Trophy competition (formerly Lord’s Taverners Cup), losing out by just one run to Manchester GS.
