Cricket Australia (CA) is one of the nation’s premier sporting bodies, with a vision for cricket to be Australia’s favourite sport. Operating within the sports and entertainment industry, CA offers an exciting and dynamic working environment, and is responsible for overseeing and developing cricket on a national level. In line with CA‘S ongoing commitment to the health and well-being of cricket’s participants, this position will focus on the delivery of world class educational programs.
Reporting directly to the Head of Cricket Operations, you will be charged with the development and delivery of best practice and innovative player education programs for male and female Australian Cricketers.
Specifically you will:
- Develop the Australian Cricket Player Education Framework by creating tailored programs to match target audiences including U17, U18 U19, State Contracted and national men and women players
- Partner with the ACA to align Player Development and Wellbeing strategies
- Write and develop e-learning modules and assessments in line with the Education framework
- Conduct annual reviews of the Australian Cricket Player Education Framework to ensure it meets agreed learning outcomes
- Work in tandem with the CA Integrity Unit to understand current and future Integrity requirements.
- Be the contact for all Player Development Mangers for all ongoing development needs, program performance and wellbeing initiatives working in association with CA Psychologists and state psychology service providers
A large part of this role involves building meaningful stakeholder relationships, to ensure the best outcomes are delivered for Australian cricket. You will be a strong communicator, adept at speaking in front of large groups and have a passion for influencing change.
Tertiary qualified, with demonstrable experience in delivering player education and welfare programs within a national sporting body, along with advanced instructional design skills and a knowledge of e-learning systems. A background in teaching and/or an understanding of government funded education programs in sport would be highly advantageous.
