CRICKET JOBS: Event Presentation Manager, Maternity Cover - ECB (UK)

Maternity cover has become available in the Events Team, reporting to the Events Director. The successful candidate will lead the planning, design, delivery, supplier management and evaluation of all event presentation at international matches, domestic competitions (including finals) in England and Wales.

Role Context/ Organisation Structure
 
The Event Presentation Manager reports directly to the Director – Events and sits within  the Events Team.

Responsible for a budget of approximately £3million, to deliver replay screens and activation across domestic and international matches

Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  •     Set and manage the planning, design, delivery and evaluation programmes for all event presentation elements
  •     Forge key relationships with internal departments and external stakeholders and align critical pathways for delivery
  •     Manage the negotiation of contracts and relationships with external delivery agencies and suppliers to ensure value for money and contractual obligations are fulfilled
  •     Manage budget tracker for all event delivery spend
  •     Supports FCCs with all aspects of match activation
  •     Coordinate with FCC’s and ECB match delivery team to ensure seamless event delivery
  •     Manage the match day ECB production team, including those responsible for sound systems, the replay screen, PA announcements, interval and concourse activity (ECB suppliers)
  •     Perform the role of ECB Match Manager at a number of major and domestic  matches
  •     Provide strategic support to the Events Team as required
  •     Manage the Event Presentation Executive (EPE)
  •     Attend regular major match planning and evaluation meetings with venue and ECB team to maintain clear communication, understanding of expectations and opportunities for improvement

Person Specification
Knowledge

  •     Proven experience in event planning and ‘live’ delivery (Essential)
  •     Understanding of First Class County structure and cricket formats (preferable)
  •     Knowledge of ECB departments and programmes (preferable)


Experience

  •     Event delivery in a sports environment
  •     Event delivery in a live broadcast environment
  •     Stakeholder relationship management to boardroom level
  •     Supplier procurement and management
  •     Tight budget management
  •     Writing reports

Additional Information

  • The job involves working weekends and many anti –social working hours during the season.
  • There is a lot of travel involved within the UK to visit all 18 First Class Counties.
