CRICKET JOBS: Finance Systems Adminstator, Catering and Retail - MCC, Lords (UK)

Lord’s Ground, the most famous cricket ground in the world, and owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (the Club), is renowned worldwide for staging international cricket matches with up to 28,500 spectators in attendance and supported by a casual workforce of up to 1500 on an International Match Day.

This is a one year fixed-term role which will assist the Catering & Retail Systems Manager with management of the Catering and Retail financial systems including, but not limited to the EPoS system, stock control system, procurement system and post event billing systems and the various department function controls.

EPoS and stock control systems are deployed throughout all bars, restaurants and cellars at Lord’s Cricket Ground for M&E, minor and major match cricket.  This role will administrate the maintenance of all data on prices, products, recipes and suppliers.  The role will also play an active part in training casual users of the system and will also provide support with resolving issues, as they arise, with regards to the use and understanding of the system.

 

Required skills and experience

Strong communication skills are required along with initiative, administrative and organisational ability and the ability to work quickly under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong IT skills are also essential.

Flexibility is vital as there is a regular need to cover evenings and weekends as well as working extended hours during the cricket season and all Major Match Days.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have worked in a similar environment and will have experience of Food and Beverage stock control processes and systems, EPoS back office systems and basic accountancy knowledge.
