CRICKET JOBS: Finance Administrator - Shropshire CB (UK)

Shropshire Cricket Board (SCB) is wishing to recruit an experienced and competent Finance Administrator

 

 

 

The SCB has the fundamental aim of facilitating and supporting both the playing and development of cricket at all levels and age groups in Shropshire.

The Role: 

  • Administer a transparent financial management system, using accepted book-keeping principles. 
  • Maintain computerised accounting records eg Sage
  • Prepare monthly management reports for Directors and the delivery team
  • Maintain accurate accounting records for the annual audit. 
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank statements. Maintain bank records, perform bank reconciliations, and deal with the bank on all financial matters 
  • Managing payments and receipts, cash handling and accountability for floats 
  • Monitor and liaise with staff and other organisations to ensure that financial receipts and payments are accurate, timely and appropriately handled. 
  • Updating staff as necessary on any relevant financial issues. 
  • Responsible for the monthly payroll and statutory compliance (monthly and annual). 
  • Liaising with Board members of staff to forecast expenditure against cashflow 
  • Administer payments to third party coaches
  • Ensure expenses are claimed and paid in line with Board guidelines 
  • Ensure subscriptions are collected from all members clubs and associations within agreed timescales

  

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of office administration and bookkeeping procedures
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintaining general ledgers
  • Knowledge of payroll functions and procedures
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial and payroll information
  • Confidentiality concerning financial and employee files
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have bookkeeping, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Effective written communications skills
  • IT skills including the ability to operate accounting systems, spreadsheet and word processing programmes
  • Be flexible and demonstrate sound work ethics
