Head Of Cricket - Guernsey Cricket Board

JOB TITLE: Head of Cricket

REPORTS TO: CEO

JOB PURPOSE

•     Be responsible for the development of all cricket on Guernsey from age group through to National level, and ensure a management and coaching structure is in place at each level with defined personnel.
•     Deliver the GCB Cricket Pathway and ensure all aspects of this are included in game scheduling, staffing, programme and budget activities.
•     Head Coach to the National Squad and Lions (Under 23’s), requiring the successful candidate to be available for all match and preparation training sessions.
•     Manage the coaching teams, participating as lead or support where suitable, for the ICC Age Group Squads (U15, U17 and U19), and at U11 and U13 levels, as well as women and girls
•     Deliver an EPP pathway to include talent ID process and coaching approach.
•     Set the training, S&C, Mindset and playing programmes at all age group levels.
•     Provide lead management to the National Team Coaching Assistants, Participation & Community Cricket Officer and Schools Cricket Programme Activators.
•     Work with the DCC to create a sustainable and competitive domestic cricket programme.
•     Be a visible centre of contact for all cricket partners i.e. Schools, Sports Commission, Clubs, ICG, GACUS.
•     Maintain and develop current external partnerships including Sussex Cricket, and Oxfordshire Cricket, and support the creation of new relationships as required
•     Manage budgets within areas of responsibility as given by CEO.
