International Teams Administrator
Based at Lord’s Cricket Ground
Salary £33,000 pa + benefits package
A vacancy has arisen for the position of International Teams Administrator. The purpose of the role is to assist the Manager – International Teams Administration with home season accommodation, transportation, hospitality and ticketing provisions for the England Men’s Team as well as travel and family provision arrangements for England Men’s Team tours overseas. To assist the Director – England Cricket Operations with the production of England Player contract documentation.
Role Context / Organisation Structure The International Teams Administrator comes under the direct line management of the Manager – International Teams Administration and is accountable to her for the performance of his / her tasks. In fulfilling his / her role effectively, the International Teams Administrator must work closely with the England Men’s Team Management and Players, as well as other members of the England Cricket Department.
Facts and Figures Reporting to the Director – England Cricket Operations, the International Teams Administration Department is currently made up of three members of staff – the Manager – International Teams Administration and two International Teams Administrators. The Department is responsible for all administration and logistics in relation to the England Men’s Team at home and on tour, as well as Men’s touring teams in England. This role does not have specific responsibility for any budgets, but is expected to consider and consult on the budgetary implications of all decisions / actions.
Key Working Relationships
- With Manager – International Teams Administration, to ensure that detailed international teams support plans are being delivered.
- With Director – England Cricket Operations, with regard to the production of player contract documentation and other administrative support as directed.
- With the other International Teams Administrator, in fulfilling tasks as directed by the Manager – International Teams Administration.
- With England Men’s Team Management, Selectors, Players and other members of ECB Staff, as required in the fulfilment of tasks.
- Principal Responsibilities and Accountabilities – Job-specific
- Assist Manager – International Teams Administration with accommodation and management requirements for the England Men’s Team during the home season (this also includes Selectors on those occasions when they are on site as part of the England Management Team).
- Assist Manager – International Teams Administration with hospitality and ticketing arrangements for the England Men’s Team home international programme.
- Assist Manager – International Teams Administration with domestic and international flight requirements for the England Men’s Team (this also includes Selectors on those occasions when they are flying with the main tour party group).
- Provide administrative support to the Manager – International Teams Administration for the organisation of the overseas tour family provision period.
- Provide administrative support to the Manager – International Teams Administration for the preparations and arrangements for incoming Men’s touring teams.
- Provide administrative support to the Director – England Cricket Operations for the production of player contract documentation.
- Assist Manager – International Team Administration and Director – England Cricket Operations with financial reconciliation of tour expenditure and re-charging to players, management, TEPP and overseas Boards, where appropriate.
- Subject to workload, undertake additional duties that may arise from time to time as directed by the Manager – International Teams Administration and the Director – England Cricket Operations.
Person Specification
- Clear and effective communicator – both in writing and orally.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Rigorous attention to detail.
- Team player, with a collaborative approach to the achievement of the department’s objectives.
- Good all-round IT skills.
- Knowledge of cricket would be useful.
