Physiotherapists for England Blind Cricket Team & Disability Cricket

The England Blind Cricket Team and Disability Cricket are in need of Chartered Physiotherapists as the squad are preparing for a 40 over World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa, in November 2014. Anyone interested in the roles needs to be available for 1 training camp per month and commit to the overseas tour of approximately three weeks from around 20th November to 11th December. The training camp dates are:

  • 19/20 July            Edgbaston/Leamington

  • 16/17 Aug            Hook & Newnham CC

  • 27/28 Sept          TBC (probably Edgbaston)

Disability cricket is evolving as an elite programme and the successful candidate should bring professionalism and a commitment to ensure that players and coaches get the best support and advice possible. They would be expecting the practitioner to provide Physiotherapy support to players during training sessions and matches, and to conduct basic warm-up and recovery sessions before and after play. Current qualification in Advanced Life Support is essential.

The programme will cover mileage costs, accommodation and a fee of £75 per day for the training and tour dates.

Expressions of interest along accompanied by a CV can be sent to Ben Langley, ECB National Lead Physiotherapist at ben.langley@ecb.co.uk

DO NOT COMPLETE THE BELOW APPLICATION FORM.
