In preparation for the 2015 season Kings Heath CC in South Birmingham are looking for an experienced player/coach to work closely with the 1st team squad and junior sections.

The role represents an excellent opportunity for a motivated candidate to help further develop our thriving youth section, coach our promising 1st team squad and play cricket in the Birmingham and District Premier Cricket League.

Purpose

1. To work in conjunction with the junior coordinator and coaches to plan, organise and deliver quality coaching sessions to junior members ranging from 8-17 years old.

2. To build relationships with junior and adult coaches/members to help create a clear player pathway from junior cricket into adult teams.

3. Work closely with the 1st team captain to plan and deliver training sessions on a weekly basis in preparation for Saturday fixtures.

Tasks

1. To coach junior section teams throughout the summer for 16 weeks (minimum 3 sessions a week), including where appropriate to assist with the running of junior matches.

2. To run and coach at senior section training sessions throughout the season (minimum 24 weeks). 

3. To lead on Saturday match preparation for all 1st team fixtures during the 2015 season.

4. Commit to playing for Kings Heath 1st XI throughout the 2015 season.

Requirements

• Minimum UKCC2 (or equivalent) qualified coach with proven track record in working with junior and adult players.
  
• Able to commit to minimum 5 sessions a week (3 junior, 2 senior), there is potential for the right candidate to increase the number of coaching sessions through 1-to-1’s and additional sessions if interested. 
• Proven track record at 1st XI level, in Birmingham and District Premier League or equivalent.
