CRICKET JOBS: Talent Manager - WACA (Aus)

The Western Australian Cricket Association is a leading sports organisation in Australia. An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate, proven performer who can identify and develop talented athletes for Western Australia's elite cricket teams. 

Reporting dually to the General Manager – High Performance and Cricket Australia’s National Talent Manager, you will be tasked with managing a talent identification, selection and development system that monitors and enhances the performance of Western Australian teams and players competing at the elite level. 

The Talent Manager will convene and manage the day to day operations of the State Match Committee ensuring that a strong alignment between state and national selection philosophies contributes to the performance of both Western Australian and Australian teams. 

In addition to senior domestic matches, the Talent Manager will also attend national underage championships, talent camps and District Cricket fixtures. You will utilise leading technology to complete comprehensive assessments, provide detailed talent reports and drive an individualised approach to player development.

 You will work closely with WACA high performance staff, develop strong relationships with District Club coaches and communicate regularly with Cricket Australia on current and future playing lists. You will also be responsible for the integration of coach development and performance information services across WACA high performance programs as well the training and management of talent identification staff across regional and metropolitan areas. 

To be successful in the position you must have highly developed interpersonal skills and the proven ability to identify and develop talented athletes. You will have significant experience working within high performance sport and have a strong background in cricket. Ideally, you will hold qualifications in sport science, sport management and/or elite coaching.
