Quick Tip: Don't Keep it Simple
How often are we told that cricket is a simple game?
I'm here to tell you it's not. It's way more complicated that "see the ball hit the ball". But you can still keep it simple.
It's all about perspective.
As Einstein once said; keep things as simple as possible, but no simpler.
If you reduce cricket down to something too simple - like closing your eyes and wanging it down - you lose all flexibility and nuance.
You will fail.
But also overcomplicating this just leads to a cluttered mind full of pointless information.
There is a time for thinking things through, but there is a limit too.
That said, also ignore those who tell you to "just bowl" or "just bat".
That's the same as a juggler telling a non-juggler to "just juggle".
It doesn't work that way!
So find your balance and reduce your game down to a manageable level of complexity, then keep it right there.

Hi David,
I agree with the point that a player should know their limits. They must know their capabilities like what can they do and what cannot. Giving suggestions is easy but implementation is difficult. Sometimes captains wants from their players to do which they cant. So a player just need to follow his instinct and expand his comfort zone.
Here is my new post about how to choose a cricket bat.
